Senior Sales Specialist - Cloud

Type of role: full time permanent

Hours: Monday-Friday 09:00-17:30

Holidays: 25 days plus Public Holidays

Overall purpose of the job:

  • To support and execute the new business acquisition strategy of Exponential-e ensuring achievement of all assigned margin, revenue and contract value targets.
  • Deliver consistent and exceptional level of sales professionalism whilst exceeding performance against measurable key performance indicators

Key responsibilities for this job:

  • Delivering against individual assigned Sales Incentive Plan covering both net new business sales as well as overlay sales
  • Feeding in field experience and customer requirement in to Exponential-e Product development process
  • Advising and driving sales campaigns with Exponential-e Marketing
  • New logo Sales, driving reference aligned to sales success
  • Working closely and building relationship with Exponential sales teams covering Public Sector, Enterprise, Account Management and Channel
  • Deal leadership in both direct and indirect models
  • Create strategic partnerships that provide increase differentiation of our services in target sectors

Core competencies:

  • Experience in selling complex services deals, mixing in Cloud, Professional Services, Managed Services and Transition and Transformation programmes.
  • Clear understanding of large scale service deals, dependencies and service components that enable full delivery in life
  • Strong knowledge around cloud delivery covering technical, service and commercial attributes and highly competent in constructing transformation deals for customers
  • Experience in application architectures and application change / transformation programmes
  • Production of high quality presentation decks
  • Multi-level relationship management and multi-level selling
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills, establishing team governance, structure and reviews to drive success
  • Defining the sales strategy and brining a team with you, leading and inspiring the team
  • Experience / knowledge of Agile / Devops methodology and value
  • High competency in constructing deals. Service schedules, Commercial principles and innovative commercials and service delivery frameworks, Risk Management, Transition and Transformation dependencies
  • Good understanding of the competitive landscape for 3rd Platform Services, Social, Analytics, Cloud and Mobile
  • Using new and disruptive technologies to solve complex business challenges and working in an ever changing working environment
  • Working within large complex Enterprise businesses and / or Service Provider environments
  • Extremely driven, motivated, self-sufficient, collaboratively minded with a highly entrepreneurial nature

Knowledge and experience required:

  • Private Cloud Services and Architectures
  • Public Cloud Services, areas such as Amazon, Azure and Google Compute Engine, vCloud Air etc
  • Virtualisation in particular VM Ware based
  • Enterprise applications and transformation e.g. Oracle, SAP, Exchange
  • Appreciation of PaaS services, next generation application development and data driven services including Big Data
  • Desktop Managed Services and Desktop as a Service, driving transition from Physical to virtual based end user services
  • Storage, replication, archiving, long term data retention and information Lifecycle management
  • Infrastructure migration tools and services e.g. Zerto, Power Recon, Power convert, MAP etc
  • High performance computing and GPU based client side desktop services
